I enjoy seeing more recent characters get some love... Toss the Turtle and Miami Shark are NG icons of the past two years and there have been so many other awesome characters that people could be giving props to, like Time Fkuc, Tower of Heaven, the Girlchan gang, William and Sly, Tarboy, Gretel & Hansel, Mr. Beautiful, etc... Not to mention Meatboy is coming out as a console game!

So I love it that the classics are still in peoples' hearts, but there is so much untapped potential for calendar entries this year.

I missed a few, because I've not been around NG a lot since a long time, so I kinda missed some important and significant characters like the ones you mentioned, but the "new" ones I played and watch like the time fkuc guy, mickey, etc I think they deserve some love and respect, that's why I put them there, they're awesome, but unfortunately some NG users don't agree ):
